MDM-B has been active for UDM in Brussels since more than ten years. All projects are volunteer-based and free of charge for patients. Besides consultations for the homeless, medical consultations by specialists (gynaecology, orthopaedics, etc.) are being organised. “Talk to her” is a group of women supporting undocumented women living in particularly precarious conditions. Furthermore, in April 2008, MDM-B opened a health care and orientation centre for all people experiencing difficulties in accessing health care. During its first year of existence, we offered more than 5.000 social, medical and psychological consultations. A targeted regional and national lobbying strategy is being set up. In 2009, MDM-B will take over the Antwerp MSF-project ‘access to health care’, which will add another 3.000 consultations a year!
