The Association’s goal is to help anyone who is discriminated against and in threat of marginalisation by providing them with indispensable legal and social aid.

 

SIP is divided into 4 sections: Foreigners section, Family section, Restorative justice section (Mediation Centre) and ''Freedom'' section.

 

SIP’s activities:

  • SIP gives legal assistance and represent their clients in their dealings with the Polish authorities.
  • They aim at implementing amendments to the legal system and social policy, i.e. by taking part in conferences, consultation on legal acts, writing commentaries to legal regulations and preparing expert opinions.
  • They do research and provide information.
  • They promote the idea of restorative justice.
  • At the moment, SIP focuses mainly on helping asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants; adoptive families, mediators, and former prisoners.
  • They also focus on children and young people placed in custodial care and adoptive families.
