Policy Seminar - "Barrier to Healtcare Services for Migrants"
The European Health Management Association will organize their policy seminar, "Barrier to Healtcare Services for Migrants" the 29 May 2009 in Brussels.
The seminar is the second of a group of three seminars that were developed as a result of the recently published study “Quality in and Equality of Access to Healthcare Services” (HealthQUEST). HealthQUEST, financed by the European Commission, Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and led by EHMA, has identified evidence of the link between poor access to health care and health inequalities. The study focused on a number of barriers to healthcare faced by three disadvantaged groups: people with mental disorders, migrants and older people with functional limitations.
